Mrs. Alisha is so much more than an OT Therapist. My daughter does not connect with people quickly but she gravitated to Mrs. Alisha. Her warm personality helped Zoey adjust to therapy so fast. Zoey looks forward to therapy and looks at Mrs. Alisha like a friend because she makes her lessons fun. My daughter has a progressive disease called Niemann Pick. It causes tremors in her hands and Alisha has helped her find ways to live as normal as possible. She has taught her how to do things despite her disability and she has built her confidence. Alisha is one of the best pediatric OTs I've met. She quickly engages the child and easily establishes a rapport with them as well as the parents. She is flexible and adapts her approach and her plan for the visit to meet the child where they are that day. She is innovative, dedicated, patient, kind, understanding, encouraging and caring. Alisha is easy to communicate with and collaborates with parents on their goals for their child. She sees and maximizes the child's potential and abilities in any way she can. Everything that Alisha does with the child has the child's success in mind. She stays up to date on current research and is very receptive to parent feedback and involvement. My husband and I do often highly recommend Alisha to other parents who are in need of OT for their child.
